Melati Muskitta is an author, keynote speaker and career strategist with more than 20 years of experience across recruitment, workforce development, employment services and HR technology. She has worked with employers, educators and communities to help people enter the workforce, navigate change and recognise the value of the skills they already have.

Melati’s own career began in microbiology before taking her into national roles in recruitment, partnerships and workforce development.
Along the way, she has seen how careers grow through unexpected opportunities, new skills and the courage to change direction.

That experience shapes her writing and speaking, including her book BUILT — Career Skills for a World That Hasn’t Been Defined Yet. Her message is simple: careers are built, not chosen.
